RI Smoking TV Ads

The Rhode Island Department of Health launched an anti-smoking campaign in April and May of 2008. Part of the campaign uses Spanish-language ads in Providence En Español newspaper, Latino radio stations WPMZ Poder and WKKB Latina, and Telemundo TV.

The two TV commercials, created for the American Legacy Foundation, are posted here. Click "play" above to view them.

One of the commercials shows a man with a tracheotomy (a surgically-created hole in his throat, to enable breathing) who is having a check-up at the doctor's office.

Go to "Rhode Island Anti-Smoking Campaign Goes Español" to read the full story, listen to the two radio spots, and see the print ads.
