Learn more about Kabuki theater and the culture of the “floating world,” the world of entertainment and pleasure that evolved as part of Edo-period Japanese society, at this 6 pm gallery talk by Deborah Del Gais, Curator of Asian Art.

At 7 and 7:30 pm, view a screening of "The Art of Kabuki," a 30-minute documentary that explains the origins, purposes, and symbolism of this tradition.

From 6:30 to 8 pm, listen to jazz in the Main Gallery.
