BostonLatinoTV.com interviews documentary filmmaker Roberto Arévalo (BeyondDocumentary.com), the producer of Tejiendo Vida (Weaving Life), Un Pensamiento Cubano (A Cuban Thought) and Una Familia Cubana (A Cuban Family).

Also a media educator, Arévalo founded The Mirror Project in 1992 in Somerville, Mass., to teach teenagers at the Somerville Mystic Housing Developments and in Watertown, Cambridge and Boston (all in Mass.) and in other areas of the country, how to produce documentaries about their everyday experiences.  

His documentaries are known for promoting cultural and social awareness.  Tejiendo Vida was shot in Colombia; Un Pensiamento Cubano and Una Familia Cubana, in Cuba.
