The LIFE and ART of ALLAN ROHAN CRITE, 1910-2007

Three venues are holding concurrent exhibits in honor of Allan Rohan Crite, icon of African American artists in Boston:

  • Boston Public Library (BPL, 700 Boylston St., Copley Square, Boston)
  • Boston Athenaeum
  • National Center of African American Artists (300 Walnut Ave., Roxbury)

Noted Boston artist Allan Rohan Crite passed away in September at the age of 97.

Mr. Crite was an active painter, printmaker, writer and lecturer whose work focused primarily on the African-American experience in Boston over several decades.
